FUN FACT ABOUT YOU: |
I enjoy entertaining people!
On Paintball fields and with friends in my home for 25 years in Australia. Here it’s assisting expats to best enjoy their motorcycle experience safely and facilitating adventure motorcycle tours to help them discover the true beauty of this country. |
WHAT ARE YOU KNOWN FOR?
I am known for establishing Saigon Motorcycles and Riders Registry Vietnam, also in the early days Paintball Saigon. Saigon Motorcycles has two locations (Thao Dien and Phu My Hung, D7) that are about everything motorcycles specifically for expats. Motorcycle and scooter rental and sales, service, accessories and tours to discover the wonder Vietnam has to offer.
I moved to Vietnam in 2012 because I was a little disappointed with the direction Australia was headed around political correctness and over regulation, so I originally came to expand my Paintball business into this country.
I remember as a child admiring every motorcycle I saw in a strictly anti motorcycle household and that set me on a life path of motorcycle fanaticism. From my first race as a 16 year old to my first road tour with my girlfriend as a 20 year old, the passion has never left me.
My hobby evolved and I began restoring some older bikes and renting them out. When the lease on our Paintball Saigon property ended in 2016 I decided to focus on Saigon Motorcycles full time. I had already started Kids Lids, a charity to raise money and help educate children into wearing helmets on motorcycles, so providing the supply solution was the natural progression.
Nowadays you’ll likely see me around Thao Dien. My day is generally a mix of customer relations, online marketing and staff management that starts with a morning walk accompanied by my boy and dog to get coffee.
I feel very fortunate to be in my current position. A loving wife with a beautiful little boy, a successful business that feeds my passion for motorcycles and a wonderful country providing the freedom to do it all in a stress free environment. Nothing to grizzle about really but like most others will be happy to see the Covid fiasco behind us.
